Natural History (and other) Photography

MY GALLERIES ARE MOVING!

After several years in the photographic wilderness while my attention was elsewhere, I am now regaining my interest in photography. Unfortunately this site is very labour-intensive to maintain, so my new galleries (including a new subject for me: Birds) are on a professional photo site here:

I will be moving my exiting galleries across as time permits, so if you follow a dead link here, please try again on the new site. PaulCPhotography.com is hosted by SmugMug, which offers many advantages, including:

  • much easier to maintain (all I have to do is upload and organize my photos, someone else looks after the clever behind-the-scenes stuff - this will hopefully encourage me to keep the site updated regularly!);

  • easier navigation and photo viewing options that are way better than anything I could program myself;

  • a fully operational online store where you can buy prints, posters and other merchandise based on my pictures.

My Images from Nature site will remain, but will probably become more of an informational site about my photography.

Please visit the new site and leave a message to let me know what you think. See you there!

Paul Chesterfield
April 2009.

Nature is all around us, we live within it, we are affected by it, we are a part of it. But how often do we really stop and look at it? From the beauty of tiny butterflies to the grandeur of the natural landscape, nature can uplift us and encourage us to learn more, to explore and to share the wonders that we have been privileged to uncover.

Photography provides us with the means to do all of these things, in a way that is accessible to young and old, fit and infirmed, enabling us to visit, at least in our minds, the beauty that we might otherwise never see.

Paul Chesterfield, September 2003.
